About
Conntextion
Hello! My name is Erica, and I’m a recent graduate of the University of San Francisco and creator of Conntextion. During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to work and conduct research in Southeast Asia, where I was first introduced to the concepts of cultural humility and culture-sharing. This experience, coupled with nearly two years of living abroad, deeply shaped and furthered my passion for those two concepts.

Upon returning to the United States, I decided to pursue a school counseling credential. However, despite my experiences with multiple Southeast Asian cultures, I realized I wasn’t fully equipped to offer culturally relevant counseling to students from diverse backgrounds. To address this, I took two key steps. First, I pursued a masters in International and Multicultural Education to deepen my understanding of the school experiences of various populations, both within the U.S. and abroad. Second, I created this website—not only as a resource for myself but also to share culturally relevant materials and insights with others in the same field.
Welcome to step two of this journey!
